The chalange of the Monte Carlo project was to build a fast car as cheap as possible. The Monte was already equipped with a Ford 9", the body is in good shape, so really the only thing to do was to install a high horsepower engine and to find a transmission that would hanle the engine. It only took 8 days to convert this weak 4.3L V-6 Monte Carlo into V-8 muscle car.
